Rest and self-care.

Two of the most important things Spoonies can do. Today I’ve done nothing more than watch movies and rest.

I’m also contemplating a nap. Which will probably start once I’ve finished writing this because all of a sudden I find myself on verge of sleep.

There has been a little Christmas shopping today but only online and for short periods staring at the computer screen.

I do, sometimes get bored with movies, or I can’t decide what to watch and I’m sort of stuck. I can’t go on my computer often because it’s taxing, mentally, it’s also why I don’t read. And I just don’t know what to do.

What do you do? When you don’t want to watch tv, or go on the computer but still need to rest?

  1. It’s TV and crochet for me, for hours on end. Puzzles used to be very helpful too so I pulled one out that I hadn’t done and will, perhaps, give that a go when I find myself continually falling asleep in front of the TV. I also enjoy coloring but that sometimes takes a bit more brain power than I have. I find the tedious sorting and organizing of puzzle pieces to be relaxing.

      1. Trust me, it’s so much different as an adult! Maybe I’ll post some pictures of what I’ve done. It’s not crayons and a book for me. I use pencils and markers and do lots of shading, etc. Um yeah, think I’ll maybe make an extra page with my projects and get peoples opinions. 🙂

  2. For me when resting it’s mainly watching TV, napping (however that tends to screw up my sleep schedule so I try to avoid it since I have problems sleeping at night). I also write both in my blog and in a journal, I read, color occasionally, browse on pinterest for craft ideas…sometimes actually do the crafts like scrapbooking.

    1. My crafting abilities are limited due to my severe lack of artistic talent! 😀 But I’m game to give almost anything a go. I often nap, sometimes it messes with my sleep and sometimes it doesn’t. I haven’t found a pattern.
